Smashing success on December 20, 2023 at the Inaugural ACPMP Research Think Tank led by Dr. Andreana Holowatyj and hosted at the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center .

ACPMP and Dr. Holowatyj, our Scientific Advisory Board Chair, brought together some of the best minds in appendix cancer and related disciplines to collectively identify research priorities and accelerate progress in advancing treatments for appendix cancer.

We are grateful for Dr. Holowatyj's inspired leadership and to all of the participants for their generosity of time, expertise, and deep commitment to scientific advances on behalf of appendix cancer patients.

The Appendix Cancer PMP Research Foundation will sponsor the Surgical Society of Oncology Advanced Cancer Therapies Conference (SSO ACT) for the 6th year

February 16-19th, 2024 | #ACT2024

ACPMP will exhibit at the SSO ACT Conference in Puerto Rico, funding the $25,000 2024 SSO Young Investigator Award focused on Appendix Cancer, as well as twenty $1,000 scholarships to physicians to attend the conference and present their research on timely scientific areas of inquiry to further drive treatments for appendiceal cancer.

 

Rare Disease Day

February 29, 2024 | #RareDiseaseDay

Thursday, February 29th will once again mark Rare Disease Day, a global campaign celebrated on the last day of February each year (the rarest day on the calendar) to raise awareness about the more than 7,000 rare diseases – including appendix cancer and pseudomyxoma peritonei (PMP).

In honor of Rare Disease Day, submit your story to us to be featured in a future ACPMP awareness post or campaign!
