My season has officially ended and I scored 73 points this year. I truly appreciate all of your support during my season and through this fundraiser for the ACPMP Research Foundation.
To donate your pledged amount, please multiply your pledge by 73 and then you can donate directly to my page by clicking the DONATE HERE button below. We will also send follow up emails to everyone on Monday 11/29 regarding how to donate their pledged amounts.
Thank you so much again for your support, donations and pledges!
Hello! My name is Lee Johnson and I am a senior place kicker for my high school, Woodward Academy in College Park, Georgia. My uncle was recently diagnosed with appendix cancer and my idea is to raise money to help find a cure for appendix cancer because it is a rare form of cancer and there is not much research. The ACPMP Research Foundation is the only nonprofit organization completely dedicated to funding research for appendix cancer.
I'd like to ask people to pledge a certain amount of money per point I score this year during our football season. We will play up to 15 games this season. Last year I scored 70 points!
To make a pledge, click the MAKE A PLEDGE button below and select your pledge level. We will collect pledges at the end of the season.
Thank you for supporting my idea and helping me raise money to find a cure for appendix cancer.
Here are the PLEDGE LEVELS

If you prefer to MAKE A DONATION instead, that is great too!
100% of pledges and donations are tax deductible and will go to the Appendix Cancer Pseudomyxoma Peritonei (ACPMP) Research Foundation which is a 501(c)3 charitable organization. ACPMP is dedicated to funding and supporting research to find a cure for Appendix Cancer, PMP and related Peritoneal Surface Malignancies, and funding educational programs to educate physicians and patients about these rare diseases. For more information about ACPMP, please visit their website at acpmp.org.
The ACPMP Research Foundation has awarded $1,300,000 in the form of twenty seven research grants. You can see a complete list of the research grants awarded here. Prior to the formation of ACPMP, no centralized organization existed dedicated to raising funds for distribution for appendix cancer/PMP research in an objective way. The rarity of appendix cancer and pseudomyxoma peritonei (PMP) translates into minimal government funded research or even any sort of funding from other large cancer organizations. Appendix cancer/PMP patients continue to be misdiagnosed and/or not offered the optimum treatment for these diseases, therefore improving diagnosis and furthering research will allow for more treatment options and a better outcome for patients.
Cancers and tumors of the appendix are extremely rare, the lifetime odds of being diagnosed are thought to be about two in a million.
All of ACPMP's funding comes from fundraisers created by patients and their friends and families. Therefore, your support is SO important and truly does make a difference!
